Frequently Asked Questions

My most common question is “How did you get interested in the auction business?”

READ MORE HERE

Absolutely. We identify valuable items, picture them, describe them and offer them at our upscale auctions at Kamelot.

Provide what information you do know about your item, send pictures of your item and include close-up pictures of any maker marks, labels or signatures.

Our specialists will review your items and we will be in touch.

There is no ceiling on how much an item can bring. Rather than negotiating downward with a buyer, the asking process continues to increase. With a well-advertised auction and an item in demand, the “Power of Auction” is very strong.

The buying clients come from the United States and around the world.

Most selling clients are within about a two hour drive to our Auction Gallery in Philadelphia, but every situation is unique.

Please reach out and we can discuss your situation and see how we can help.

Our auctions are always “Live”. There are a variety of ways to bid including several online options:

  • Bids are accepted through our website.
  • Bids are accepted through the “Live Auctioneers” bidding platform.
  • Bids are accepted through the “Invaluable” bidding platform.
  • Bids can be placed by phone with a staff member.
  • Bids can be placed in advance through an “Absentee Bid. Form” and is executed during the auction by the auctioneer.

We identify and evaluate items that have enough demand in the present market to work at auction. It usually starts with pictures and information you provide about the items you are looking to sell.

We enter into an agreement where we agree to sell items for you at our auction and receive a percentage of the winning bid for doing so.

You bring or arrange delivery of your items to our gallery or we arrange pick-up and delivery with one of our preferred movers. When we arrange delivery the moving cost is paid by us but later deducted from the auction proceeds without any up-charge.

Our specialists, catalogers and photographers go to work so we can catalog each item providing pictures, descriptions and auction estimates.

The catalog is completed and the auction is advertised for buyers to view for several weeks before each auction.

On auction day we find the highest bidder (the winning bidder).

We collect payment from the winning bidders and make payment to our selling clients.

The best approach is to start a conversation with me and my team to learn what the process will look like for you.
